Kentucky State Poetry Society
Kentucky State Poetry Society is a group of poets from or with deep connections to Kentucky. The group holds an annual conference in the fall, which includes readings, craft talks, and workshops. The group publishes a journal, Pegasus and hosts a variety of poetry contests for all ages.
I suppose it is a writing group in the sense that many of the writers within KSPS have informal workshop groups that meet in person and online throughout the year, and in the sense that once a year many of us come together.

Writing Alone, Writing Together: A Guide for Writers and Writing Groups
With writers participating in writers groups all around the country, it was probably inevitable that (at least) one of them would write a book about participating in writing group. The book -- and there are probably more I haven't stumbled upon -- is Writing Alone, Writing: A Guide for Writers and Writing Groups. Check it out on Amazon: Writing Alone, Writing Together.
